Check a card's centering before you send it in.
Borderline measures the centering of a trading card from a photo, front and back, and shows the highest grade that centering allows at each grading company.
For iPhone.
- Left / Right
- 54.2 / 45.8
- Top / Bottom
- 51.1 / 48.9
- PSA 10
- BGS 9.5
- CGC 10
How it works
Photograph the card
Use the camera, with a level indicator and optional auto-capture, or choose a photo you already have.
Check the lines
Borderline finds the cut edge and the printed border on its own. Drag any line to correct it, with a magnifier to place it exactly.
Read the result
Left/right and top/bottom ratios for the front and the back, in percent and millimeters, set against each company's limits.
What is in it
Six sets of standards
PSA, BGS, CGC, SGC, TAG and ACE, each read by its own published limits, in the order you choose.
A collection that keeps its numbers
Save a card with both sides and its measurements. Export the whole collection as a CSV file.
Insights
See how your saved cards measure up against one company's limits, and which ones miss and by how much.
A reference for the standards
Tables for all six companies, and a slider that shows what any ratio looks like on a card.
Something to send
Share an image of the card with its lines, both ratios and the grade each company's limits allow.
Yours, on your phone
Your cards stay on your device. Sharing scans to improve detection is off unless you turn it on.
Set up for Pokémon, One Piece, Gundam and Union Arena cards.
A measurement, not a grade
Borderline measures centering from a photo, so lighting, camera angle and sleeves can shift the result. Grading companies also look at corners, edges and surface, which the app does not assess. A result here says what a card's centering would allow. It is not a prediction of the grade a card will receive.
